She has found her niche

The Lisa Robertson Show, http://www.qvc.com/LisaRobertsonShow.content.html   Friday Night Beauty, http://www.qvc.com/FridayNightBeauty.content.html.  On QVC.com http://www.QVC.com.  I love to watch her.  She is so pretty.  (No, I am not a lesbian.)  She loves and appreciates pretty jewelry, pretty clothes, make-up, looking and staying young looking.  Have you seen her when she is in Italy,  dressed in her princess dresses, wearing the beautiful gold jewelry?  She's selling the Cinderella dream!

She's also very funny.  She makes fun of herself.  Every night is a girl's night party, laughing, talking and trying different clothes and accessories, putting on, trying on, talking about make-up and skin care and jewelry.

A couple weeks ago I was searching on the web for information about her.  I want to know how she did this.  How did she create this image?  How did she get where she is?  She is worth over 1.5 Million.

OK, so I wanted to find out if she did this all on her own.  Did her husband help her get here?  Is she even married?  As I searched the web, I found that everyone else wants to know if she is married too.  Along with speculation and snarky remarks about her sexuality and QVC persona.

She keeps her private life very personal.  She side-steps fans in public, though web comments say she snubs fans and is rude.

I say, So What!!!!, to all the snarky naysayers.  She is the star in her niche market.  She is very successful and maybe this aspect of her is a little bit about how she became so successful.  (But Lisa, I just want to know more about how you created this part of your life.... If I look around for magazines and pitch an article on you and this subject...... would you agree, could we talk?)

Intuitive hits on breaking news of the Boston Marathon explosions

I, like everyone else, was riveted to the TV with the breaking news of the Boston Marathon explosions.  It is a horrific tragedy.  I send positive thoughts and prayers to all the families who were hurt and/or lost loved ones.

I use, test, try to build and work with my intuition skills while watching the breaking news casts.  Putting CNN's news reporting errors, to the side, I was thinking that the younger brother Dzokar, could have been heavily influenced, bullied or talked into participating in this event by his older brother Tamalyn, that he was quite scared out of his mind while the town-wide search for him was being conducted, that he and his brother possibly talked about what they would do, if Tamalyn was injured with the possibility of being captured.

Quite possibly the plan was to kill Tamalyn so that he couldn't be questioned for further information.  Dzokar does not have any information. He was not the one who was planning this.  I got the feeling he was just going along with it because Tamalyn needed the help to carry it out. He was following his brother so far behind in the videos. The breaking news said this was perhaps military style formation, from military training.

I later learned, we all later learned, from the continual breaking news, that Tamalyn had been to Russia in 2012, for a number of months. the breaking news has suggested that he might have been meeting with others to learn terrorism techniques.

This news negated my intuitive thinking that they were acting alone, that they were purely domestic terrorists.

Next time, I'd like to write these hits I get as the news unfolds, in real time.  I look forward to finding out more of the story and if any of my hits were right.

Anybody else try to increase their intuitive skills by doing something similar to what I do? Please tell me about it.  I look forward to hearing from you.

I have to comment on the this past debate between Romney and Obama. First of all, to own it and get it out of the way or not be the elephant in the room, I favor Obama more that Romney.

I know Mitt Romney has lots of experience in business, so he undoubtedly knows what he is doing. I have heard in soundbites on CNN, MSNBC that his businesses have outsourced to China because it is cheaper, he is hiding money from being taxed in the Caymans. He has lots of money and he probably does not want to lose it.  What will he do, if he is president, to increase our economy and be able to not lose his own money?

What is he going to change in the tax code?  Will he rescind NAFTA?  Will he make it profitable for businesses to relocate back to the States?  How exactly is he going to improve the economy?

Oh, that's right, he wants to increase small business.  But, how?  Through loans?  To people who are in the hole already?  Will banks give them loans?  Are small businesses that are in existence now, strong enough or will they be strong enough with the help that they are going to get, to improve our economy?

I also heard that, as Governor of MA, Romney instituted mandatory individual health care coverage.  He doesn't talk about that, as Obamacare is controversial.  But I do wish Obama would bring that up in the debates.

I have concerns about The United States and its dealings in the Middle East.  They don't want us there. Our staying there is making it worse.  We need to get out of there and focus on other forms of energy and/or getting the oil from some other place, some other way.  The United States spreads itself all over, helping other nations, controlling (or trying to) other nations.

From the perspective of 12-step addiction recovery, we need to "Let Go" and focus on ourselves, our economy, our energy production. If we don't take care of ourselves and help ourselves get a healthy economy, we cannot help others effectively.  I think the issues in the Middle East are telling us that.

MS Renaissance

MS. Renaissance? I consider myself a renaissance woman. See the first page in this blog for an explanation: http://careerbranches.wordpress.com/category/renaissance-personality/?blogsub=confirming#blog_subscription-3.  I have many interests.  I am creative, as in arts and crafts things, but also with DIY projects.  I am interested in Psychology (Jung is my preference), animal welfare (my 2 cats were both strays before I took them in), gardening, astrology (I'm an Aquarian with that "New Age" streak and love this astrologist: http://planetwaves.net/pagetwo/), women's issues, social policy, antiqueing and going to garage and yard sales, interior decorating (as in shabby ....oops, I mean frugal ....chic), writing (academic, research, personal essay, non-profit grant writing).  I'm an HSP, highly sensitive person. See http://www.hsperson.com/

Oh, I'm also interested in disability issues.  That's where the "MS" in MS. Renaissance comes in. Or should I say M.S.?  Multiple Sclerosis? Yeah, I  have M.S.

Thought I'd be up front, because I dislike all the hiding (in both me and the outside world) that is associated with having a disability.  Not to mention stigma. Even though the ADA, Americans with Disabilities Act, was passed in 1996, there is still stigma with hiring a person with a disability.

I have been looking for a job for a while, but there is not much out there that will work with my parameters of fatigue and only being able to work 8-10 hrs. per week, as a Social Worker.  Personal opinion here, but I do think that the workforce needs to become more flexible with work hours per day and per week, in order to bring more people with disabilities into the workforce, in a situation like mine, anyway.  "I'm jus sayin'."

Luckily, through this whole process of trying to find a job, I have learned that I do not want a 9-5, 3-11 or even an 11-7 job that exists out there in the world.  I find them all extremely boring and constricting. I don't want to be confined to a job where I do the same thing every day, seeing the same people.

I have wanted to write and blog.  I've been waiting for it to come all together for me. Finally, after about 2 years, during which I took some computer classes in proof-reading and copywriting, researched many websites and attended many free teleclasses about freelance writing, being an HSP, being creative, artistic (see http://www.artellaland.com/ for inspirational and esteem building products and services) and being a Renaissance Woman, took a course on internet writng resources, and lastly, took a class on grant writing, yesterday, the day arrived, where the little voice (spirit, the universe, God) inside me said, "Check out setting up a blog today."

The last I time looked at doing this, it looked and was hard, but today it was easy. Truly, the universe was telling me that the time had come to start a blog.

I want to share my process, as a woman with a disability and diagnosis of M.S., being a highly sensitive person with the renaissnce personality characteristic of "having difficulty deciding what I really want to do, because there is so much I want to do and am interested inI do not want to be a cog in the wheel, the machine, punching the clock, following procedure, making money for somebody else.  I want to love my life,  share my knowledge, use my strengths and help others with similar issues.

I know that there are others out there with a disability, are sensitive, creative and have as many interests as I have.  I look forward to sharing my process, connecting with you and talking
